I am proud to announce that one of my underwater photos was selected for the traveling exhibit PEACE RISES, a charity to support the people of Sierra Leone. The exhibit is coming to Gallery 9 in Culver City, CA on Saturday, October 22nd from 6-10pm. More info here.

Two gorgeous dancers, Maritza and Meghan, agreed to model for me in a shoot focusing on flowy fabrics. We had a lot of fun and got some great shots! Photos taken on August 7th, 2011 in West Hollywood, CA.

I was lucky enough to take my first trip to Hawaii this past week, and subsequently my underwater camera took its first trip into the ocean. I normally avoid swimming in the ocean, but snorkeling was incredible, highly recommended! Photos taken on July 31, 2011 at Hanauma Bay in Oahu, HI.

I took a brief hiatus from taking underwater photos to produce a dance show, and I was so happy to get back into the water! Thank you to the gorgeous Jesyka for letting me come hang out at her beautiful rooftop pool and also for modeling for me. Photos taken on September 11, 2010 in Los Angeles, CA.

It’s official: dancers make the best underwater models! Not only do dancers have an endless supply of fun poses, but they have their own amazing costumes. AND Lynn lives in an apartment complex with a pool. Perfect. Photos taken on July 2, 2010 in Culver City, CA.

Lisa and Phil celebrated their birthdays jointly with a pool party, which is obviously the best kind of party! I talked a few friends into posing underwater for me; thanks Craig, Ken, Andy, and Phil! Photos taken on June 19, 2010 in Studio City, CA.

Chia is a fantastic photographer of the out-of-water variety, so I decided it was about time for her to try her hand at modeling. Turns out she’s a natural in front of the camera, too! Photos taken on June 18, 2010 in Burbank, CA.

While in Florida with my mom, dad, and brother Rodney, we decided to do a family photo shoot in the hotel pool and hot tub. This was the first warm pool of my underwater photography experience, and I was very grateful to be comfortable in the water. Photos taken on May 31, 2010 in Orlando, FL.

Emily and I got together for another photo shoot with a few different looks this time. These photos were taken in North Hollywood, CA on May 14, 2010.

I asked Eric to bring some costume options to the shoot and he showed up in an 18th-century newsboy costume and also brought a tuxedo and applied a special temporary tattoo just for the occasion. Excellent. He was also a total trooper in the freezing cold pool. Photos taken in Burbank, CA on May 3, 2010.
